About Church of St Cormac
Church of St Cormac was built between 1842 and 1848. It has a six-bay nave, built of squared stone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained glass including a rose window and lancet windows.
The building
Consecrated in 1850, the church features a seven-bay nave and single-bay chancel constructed of snecked rubble stone with red brick dressings. The interior includes a groin vaulted ceiling with panelled ribs on ogee corbels, timber panelled confessional boxes, and trefoil-detailed pews. A prominent rose window with leaded stained glass panels is located in the chancel east wall.
