About St. Theresa of the Child Jesus
St. Theresa of the Child Jesus was built in 1924. It has a ten-bay nave, built of granite under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and a marble altar.
History
Ashlin & Coleman designed the original church, which W. H. Byrne & Son extended around 1950. It initially formed part of Saint Catherine's Parish, Meath Street; Donore Avenue became a separate parish in 1946.
