About Our Lady of Dolours
Our Lady of Dolours was built around 1890. It has a cruciform plan with a six-bay nave, built of granite. Notable features include a four-stage bell tower, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and a marble altar.
The building
The plan includes gabled north and south transepts, a single-bay chancel to the east, porches in front of the transepts, confessional projections and side altars along the nave. The bell tower is square in its lower stages and octagonal at the fourth stage.
