About St. Teresas - Ballycastle
St. Teresas - Ballycastle was completed in 1869. It has a simple single-cell form and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and lancet windows.
History
The church succeeded an earlier chapel at Belderrig that was unmarked on the first edition of the Ordnance Survey. It was completed in 1869 under the aegis of Reverend John O'Hara PP. The building was improved in 1937 and later renovated, with the sanctuary reordered. A near-total reconstruction proposed in 1913 by William Henry Byrne and Son was not carried out.
