About St. Patrick's Church, Shercock
St. Patrick's Church, Shercock was built in 1838 in the Gothic Revival style. It has a three-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a bell tower, carved Stations of the Cross, window tracery and lancet windows. The church stands in its own graveyard.
History
The church was altered in 1912–15 and again in 1987–88, when the interior was reordered and refurbished. The early twentieth-century work included raised walls and reroofing, while an altar and reredos dated 1907 remain in the chancel.
