About St. Patrick's Church, Kilmaine
St. Patrick's Church, Kilmaine was completed in 1830. It has a cruciform plan with a two-bay nave, built of squared limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and lancet windows.
History
The church was reconstructed in 1956–57, producing the present composition; that work is attributed to Edward Raphael Ryan of Galway. The east window was supplied in 1926 by Harry Clarke as the Healy Memorial window.
