About St. Patrick's Church, Killala
St. Patrick's Church, Killala dates from 1930. It has a cruciform plan with a four-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery.
History
The church was designed by Ralph Henry Byrne of Suffolk Street, Dublin. The rebuilding may have repurposed an 1823 church shown on the first Ordnance Survey, and the interior was later reordered in 1997.
