About St. Patrick
St. Patrick was built between 1857 and 1859. It has a seven-bay nave, built of squared limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained glass including a rose window, an internal gallery and mosaic work.
Notable people
James Joseph McCarthy, who lived from 1817 to 1882, designed the church. The much-modified high altar is attributed to Dublin architect John Patrick Fitzgerald Munden, who lived from 1883 to 1962.
