About St. Patrick

St. Patrick is a Roman Catholic parish church in Castletown, Co. Wexford. It is part of the Dublin Archdiocese.

History

The parish was constituted in 1974 from Arklow, and covers the coastal area from Arklow to near Gorey. Several ancient Christian sites lie within it, including St Ibar's, Toberpatrick and St Michael's Well.

The present church of St Patrick was opened on 15 November 1885 by Archbishop William Walsh. It is built of granite.
