About St. Patrick
St. Patrick dates from 1842 and is built in the Gothic Revival style. It has a seven-bay nave, built of ashlar limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery.
The building
The interior was renovated in 1924 and includes a decorative clay-tiled central aisle, pointed arcades to the side aisles on chamfered cut-limestone piers, a Gothic-style reredos and a groin-vaulted ceiling with moulded plaster ribs on decorative corbels.
