St. Nicholas' Church, Killavullen dates from 1839. The church has a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery.
The building
St Nicholas Church in Killavullen, Co. Cork, is a freestanding gable-fronted structure dated 1839. The gable-front features coursed rubble red sandstone walls, a pediment with a limestone base, and a central breakfront containing a marble plaque. Round-headed windows with cut sandstone voussoirs flank the upper level. The interior includes a neo-classical frieze supported on Corinthian columns, decorative plasterwork, and a gallery with painted render mouldings. The church stands in landscaped grounds with wrought-iron gates and a small graveyard.
