About St Michael's Church, Ballyagran
St Michael's Church, Ballyagran dates from 1964. It has a cruciform plan with a four-bay nave and rendered walls. Notable features include a four-stage bell tower, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and mosaic work.
History
The present church occupies the site of an earlier building dating from the early 1800s. That predecessor was renovated in 1837 before the church was rebuilt in 1964, preserving a sequence of successive church buildings on the same site.
