About St. Joseph's Church, Granagh
St. Joseph's Church, Granagh dates from 1831. It has a cruciform plan with a three-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched artificial slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery.
The building
The church features a tooled limestone bellcote with a cross finial on the north-west elevation. Inside, an arch-braced timber roof springs from limestone corbels, while a recent timber balcony with decorative panels sits at the north-west end. The chancel contains a carved white marble reredos, pulpit and altar depicting Christ carrying the Cross, flanked by polychrome columns.
