About St. Mary's Church - Rossmore
St. Mary's Church - Rossmore was built around 1880. It has a T-shaped plan with a three-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and window tracery.
The building
The transepts have camber-headed door openings with double-leaf timber-battened doors. The church stands within enclosed grounds defined by rendered walls with cut-limestone copings and capped square-profile gate piers carrying replacement single and double-leaf cast-iron gates.
