About St. Mary’s Church, Broadford
St. Mary’s Church, Broadford was built between 1862 and 1865 in the Gothic Revival style. It has a five-bay nave, built of cut stone. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a timber gallery and an open timber roof.
History
Construction was funded through voluntary parish contributions. The forecourt retains tomb covers, and the separate belfry preserves its original mechanisms, unlike examples where electrification led to their loss.
