Saint Mary's Church of the Assumption, Longwood was built in 1841. The church has rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and window tracery.

The building

A shoulder-headed opening contains timber double doors. At the site boundary, ashlar stone piers support cast-iron double gates and railings. The north-eastern gable also contains a combination of pointed, Tudor and trefoil openings.
