About St Mary’s Cathedral, Kilkenny
St Mary’s Cathedral, Kilkenny was built between 1843 and 1857 in the Early English Gothic style. It has a cruciform plan with a five-bay nave, built of ashlar limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a tower, stained glass including a rose window, mosaic work and crenellated parapets.
