About St Macartan's Cathedral, Monaghan
St Macartan's Cathedral, Monaghan was built between 1861 and 1892 in the Gothic Revival style. It has a five-bay nave, built of ashlar limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a four-stage tower, stained glass including a rose window, an internal gallery and mosaic work.
