About Ballyalbany Presbyterian Church
Ballyalbany Presbyterian Church was built in 1788. The church has rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and window tracery. The church stands in its own graveyard.
The building
Remodelled in 1846 and 1886, the church features recessed gabled blocks and a north porch with a double-leaf timber door. The interior contains a gallery supported on cast-iron columns, carved timber pews, a pulpit, and an organ at the south end. The site includes a graveyard, a lodge, and the Murdoch Memorial Hall, enclosed by walls with decorative cast-iron gates.
