About St. Joseph`s Church, Ballindine
St. Joseph`s Church, Ballindine was completed in 1833. It has a cruciform plan and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and buttressed walls.
History
The church was erected with financial support from the Brownes of nearby Castlemacgarrett. Its present form also reflects a near-total reconstruction to a design by Edward Raphael Ryan of Galway, while the interior was later reordered in 1994.
