About St John The Baptist Church, Woodford
St John The Baptist Church, Woodford was built around 1860. It has a cruciform plan with a two-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery.
Notable features
The late-nineteenth-century glazing forms a coherent interior scheme in which each light depicts a saint or evangelist. The lawned grounds also contain priests' graves, with a presbytery recorded as part of the wider church site.
