About St. Gabriel
St. Gabriel was built in 1956. It has a six-bay nave and rendered walls. Notable features include a five-stage bell tower, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and mosaic work.
History
The church cost £57,000 and was opened by Archbishop John Charles McQuaid in 1956. It was built on land formerly belonging to the Daughters of Charity to serve population growth around St Anne’s Park.
