About St Colman, Craughwell
St Colman, Craughwell was built around 1840. It has a T-shaped plan with a five-bay nave, built of stone under a pitched copper roof. Notable features include a tower, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and a marble altar.
The building
Door openings have carved stone hoodmouldings and cut and carved limestone surrounds. The interior has a plastered ceiling with decorative mouldings, while a three-bay, two-storey parochial house is attached to the east gable.
