About St. Brendan the Navigator
St. Brendan the Navigator was built in 1815. It has a cruciform plan with a two-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows.
The building
The church features a cruciform plan with double-height nave and transepts, plus a chancel with a lean-to sacristy. It was renovated in 1973. The rendered walls have pointed-arch windows with leaded stained glass and a Y-mullion in the chancel. Carved limestone cross finials adorn the gable apexes. The site includes a graveyard with cut-stone markers dating from after 1815.
