About Kells St Mary
Kells St Mary was built in 1844. It has a single-cell plan with a three-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and crenellated parapets.
Notable people
The church was erected to an undated design signed by Frederick Darley, who served as Architect to the Archdiocese of Dublin. The Massy Memorial Trinity Window, dating from 1934, was supplied by Franz Mayer and Company of Munich and London.
