About Séipéal Deastógála
Séipéal Deastógála is a Catholic church at Camus, Co. Galway, in the Rosmuc/Camus parish of the Diocese of Galway, Kilmacduagh and Kilfenora. Sunday Mass is at 11:30am. This church was built in 1897 to replace an old thatched chapel, the last of its kind in Ireland. The work was done by local people using stone and sand from the area. It was dedicated by Bishop McCormack on 15 August 1897, and the sermon was preached in Irish by Fr Mark Conroy.
