About Saints Peter and Paul
Saints Peter and Paul was built around 1860. It has a cruciform plan and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and carved Stations of the Cross.
The building
The church features a square-profile three-stage crenellated tower with timber louvers and cut-stone string courses. Interior elements include a carved timber reredos with crocketed triple-gable detailing, marble plaques, and statues of Our Lady and Saint Joseph. A Marian shrine stands to the east, while wrought-iron gates set in cut limestone piers mark the entrance.
