About Saint Anne's Church, Clonmore
Saint Anne's Church, Clonmore was built in 1832. The church is built of limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and window tracery.
The building
This freestanding gable-fronted Catholic church features a three-bay entrance facade, single-bay transepts, and a canted apse with a sacristy. The structure is defined by roughly-dressed limestone walls, cut stone buttresses, and pointed-arch windows with Y-tracery. Interior elements include marble columns supporting two-arch arcades in the transepts, while the exterior is enclosed by rubble limestone boundary walls with cast-iron gates.
