About Sacred Heart Church, Rushbrooke
Sacred Heart Church, Rushbrooke was built in 1898. It has a two-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows and buttressed walls.
History
Built in 1898, the chapel was apparently constructed as a thanks offering by Joseph and Caroline O'Meara. They bequeathed their house to the Sisters of Charity at the time of its erection. The building serves as a memorial to this specific act of devotion and charitable giving.
