About Sacred Heart Church, Monkstown

Sacred Heart Church, Monkstown was completed in 1872 in the Gothic Revival style. It has a cruciform plan with a four-bay nave, built of squared sandstone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a four-stage bell tower, stained glass including a rose window, an internal gallery and a marble altar.
