About Lucan Presbyterian Church
Lucan Presbyterian Church was built in 1823 in the Gothic Revival style. It has a three-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include crenellated parapets, window tracery and an organ.
The building
Lucan Presbyterian Church in Co. Dublin features a projecting square north entrance with an octagonal ashlar spire. The structure includes roughcast rendered walls with ashlar limestone dressings, such as a string course and chamfered reveals. Diamond-paned timber Y-tracery windows and crenellations with pyramidal finials define the exterior. The interior contains box pews, panelling, and an organ. Ashlar limestone gate piers with cast-iron gates frame the site.
