About Holy Nativity Church
Holy Nativity Church was built around 1860. It has a four-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched artificial slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, carved Stations of the Cross and an open timber roof.
Notable features
The interior contains a carved limestone baptismal font, marble pulpit and altar, along with metal Stations of the Cross. A stone plaque is located to the south-east of the nave. The chancel window sill bears a bullet hole, apparently resulting from an attack by the Black and Tans on the priest. The church also features an Evie Hone stained-glass window.
