About Immaculate Conception
Immaculate Conception was built in 1921. It has a six-bay nave and rendered walls. Notable features include stained glass including a rose window and a bellcote.
The building
The church features a flat roof on an arcaded corbel table and rendered walls with monolithic pilasters. Its west elevation includes a multifoil rose window depicting The Irish Saints. The interior contains a Gothic-style altar of cut-veined white marble and timber stations. The design evokes comparisons with Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Recess, Co. Galway.
