About Frankfield Holy Trinity
Frankfield Holy Trinity was built in 1838. It has a cruciform plan with a three-bay nave, built of limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and crenellated parapets. The church stands in its own graveyard.
History
The church was built in 1838 and designed by the architects Deane & Woodward. It was commissioned by Samuel Lane, a member of an influential Cork family. The building is set within a graveyard enclosed by a rubble stone wall with tooled limestone coping stones.
