About Church of the Immaculate Conception ( St. Mary's), Annaduff
Church of the Immaculate Conception ( St. Mary's), Annaduff was built in 1839. It has a single-cell plan with a four-bay nave, built of sandstone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and pinnacles.
History
Reverend George Gearty built the church on a site donated by John Notely. Stone came from Benny Shanley's quarry at Fearnaught, while Paddy Fox's kiln at Gortinty Lake was also connected with the work.
