About Annaduff West St Ann (Drumsna)

Annaduff West St Ann (Drumsna) was built in 1815. It has a three-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a four-stage tower and pinnacles.

The building

Located on the banks of the River Shannon, the church features a castellated tower with pinnacles that are an unusual feature in Co. Roscommon church architecture. The structure retains fine stonework, including tooled limestone surrounds and hood mouldings, though original nave windows have been replaced. The site includes a graveyard with markers from the early nineteenth century, a Waldron family mausoleum, and the ruin of a medieval church.
