About Church of the Immaculate Conception, Rochfortbridge

Church of the Immaculate Conception, Rochfortbridge was built around 1850. It has a cruciform plan with a two-bay nave and rendered walls. Notable features include a bell tower with a spire, stained-glass windows, buttressed walls and lancet windows.

History

The square tower was added about 1880, while the transepts and a new central entrance belong to alterations around 1980. The chancel contains Victorian pictorial stained glass, possibly by Mayer of Munich and probably installed around the time of the tower.
