About Church of the Holy Spirit, Taur

Church of the Holy Spirit, Taur dates from 1914. The church has rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and buttressed walls.

The building

The freestanding Roman Catholic church is oriented north-south with the altar end to the north. It features a half-hexagonal apse, a porch to the north-west, and lower flat roof additions to the east. The structure includes lancet windows with stained glass, a circular window in the south gable, and a render Greek cross set in a circular recess. A freestanding rendered openwork bellstand and boundary walls with cast-iron gates are also present.
