About Church of The Assumption, The Rower
Church of The Assumption, The Rower was built in 1816. It has a cruciform plan with a two-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a four-stage tower, stained-glass windows, pinnacles and lancet windows.
History
A renovation in 1916 added the four-stage entrance tower on a square plan at the south-west. The sacristy extends two bays beyond the chancel, and the site is enclosed by rendered walls with iron double gates finished with fleur-de-lis finials.
