About Church Of The Assumption, Paulstown
Church Of The Assumption, Paulstown dates from 1796. It has a cruciform plan with a three-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery.
The building
The porch has a lancet 'Trinity Window' in a cut-granite block-and-start surround with chamfered reveals, a hood moulding and foliate label stops. Opposing elliptical-headed doorways use cut-granite surrounds centred on keystones and contain glazed timber double doors.
