About Wicklow Methodist Church
Wicklow Methodist Church was built in 1866. The church is built of brick under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained glass including a rose window, a bellcote and an internal gallery.
The building
Designed by architect William Fogerty, the chapel features yellow Dublin brick contrasted with Belfast and Enniscorthy red brick bands. Dalkey granite is used for stone dressings, while Bath stone appears in the rose window. The structure includes corner buttresses, a bellcote, and a recent church hall to the west.
