About Tullyaughnish St Paul (Ramelton)
Tullyaughnish St Paul (Ramelton) was built between 1822 and 1826. It has a six-bay nave, built of squared sandstone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower, stained-glass windows, crenellated parapets and pinnacles.
The building
The vestry has a Tudor-arched doorway with a chamfered ashlar-sandstone surround and a battened timber door fitted with decorative wrought-iron hinges; cut-stone steps rise to it. The church occupies a corner site, with a graveyard to the south-east.
