About Trinity College Chapel
Trinity College Chapel was built between 1787 and 1798. The church is built of ashlar granite under a hipped slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and an organ. It was designed by Sir William Chambers.
Notable people
Construction was overseen by Christopher Myers and his son Graham Myers, who likely influenced the final design. Stone carving was executed by George Darley and Richard Cranfield, while Michael Stapleton produced the internal plasterwork. Robert Mallet designed the spiral staircases, and Henry Hugh served as general carpenter. Later stained glass was installed by Clayton & Bell and Mayer & Company, with floor tiles designed by John McCurdy.
