About Tobercurry St George
Tobercurry St George was built around 1830. The church is built of squared stone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a bell tower, crenellated parapets and window tracery. The church stands in its own graveyard.
History
The church was erected in 1830 with the aid of a gift of £900 from the late Board of First Fruits. It was built of limestone procured in a quarry in the parish. A flat-roofed vestry was added to the north side of the chancel around 1900.
