About Church of St John The Evangelist, Tubbercurry
Church of St John The Evangelist, Tubbercurry was built around 1932. It has a four-bay nave, built of ashlar limestone under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a two-stage tower with an octagonal spire, stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and pinnacles.
History
The leaded windows in the chancel are dated 1910 and are attributed to Watson and Company of Youghal. The altar was remodelled around 1990, when a toilet and boiler-room addition was also made.
