About Templeshanbo St Colman
Templeshanbo St Colman was built in 1815. It has a three-bay nave under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include a three-stage tower, crenellated parapets and pinnacles.
History
This Church of Ireland building was erected in 1815 with financial support from the Board of First Fruits. It was improved in 1826, consecrated in 1827, and subsequently renovated in 1895, 1914, and 1917. The architectural composition is variously ascribed to John Bowden of Dublin or to an obscure 'Ellis Architect'. An exposed pitch pine roof was donated in 1914 by Reverend Henry Kyle Atkinson.
