About Church of St Mary Magdalene
Church of St Mary Magdalene is a Catholic church in Kilmyshall, County Wexford, in the Diocese of Ferns.
History
St Mary Magdalene Church was built in 1831 to a design by Richard Pierce, an architect from Wexford. A refurbishment added a marble tabernacle and a marble ambo, and the church was repainted and new lighting installed.
The building
The church is a large barn-type building with Gothic Georgian-style plain glass windows. These were replaced in 2003 with windows of identical pattern. The roof was replaced and insulated in 2016, work that had been delayed because the church is a listed building.
