About St. Patrick's, Coachford
St. Patrick's, Coachford was built around 1840. It has a cruciform plan with a three-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, a bellcote and an internal gallery.
The building
Despite later renovation, the front elevation retains pinnacles, crenellations, corner buttresses and incised cross motifs. The church also contains inscribed limestone plaques, round-headed stone fonts and carved memorial plaques.
