About St Patricks Church, Killawalla
St Patricks Church, Killawalla was built between 1960 and 1965. It has a three-bay nave and rendered walls under a pitched slate roof. Notable features include stained-glass windows, buttressed walls and lancet windows.
The building
The church was rebuilt between 1961 and 1962 and rededicated in 1964. It features a rectangular plan with a three-bay nave and single-bay chancel, topped by pitched slate roofs with clay ridge tiles. The interior includes an exposed steel roof construction, timber pews, and a stepped dais with a basket-weave parquet predella supporting the altar.
