About St. Patrick's Church, Corlough
St. Patrick's Church, Corlough was built in 1857 in the Gothic Revival style. It has a cruciform plan, built of squared stone. Notable features include stained-glass windows, an internal gallery and mosaic work.
The building
The entrances have replacement timber-panelled external doors with leaded overlights. Inside, a decorative stucco chancel arch rests on short marble colonnettes with vegetal capitals and corbelled bases, while three pointed arches on columns separate the nave from the transepts.
